Oratorical contest planned
Thousands of dollars in scholarships are available to Butler County students in grades 9 to 12 who participate in the 2015 American Legion Oratorical Contest.
The primary requirement is delivering an eight- to 10-minute speech on the U.S. Constitution.
John Prichard, county oratorical chairman, said, “In addition to the money, students will develop their public speaking skills, learn more about our constitution and improve their college applications.”

Students should contact an American Legion Post on or before Dec. 7.
