Rev. Frederick Haworth
Rev. Frederick Haworth, 90, of Greenville passed away Tuesday night at the St. Paul Homes Cottage Colony, Greenville.
He was born on Dec. 23, 1923, in Sewickley and was the son of the late Frederick and Mae Roth Haworth.
He graduated from Strong Vincent High School in Erie in 1940, the University of Pittsburgh in 1944 with a master's in social work and from the Virginia Theological Seminary with a master's in divinity. He also received a Doctor of Ministry from the Theological Foundation in Indiana.
Some of his parishes were the Grace Church in Lake City, the Trinity Church in Fairview, St. Joseph's Church in Port Allegany, St. Matthew's Church in Eldred, the Church of the Epiphany in Grove City, The Memorial Church of Our Father in Foxburg and St. Clement's in Greenville.
He also worked at George Junior Republic in Grove City, the Youth Development Center in New Castle and most recently in the Intensive Supervision Program through the Children's Aid Society of Mercer County.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sweet Haworth of Greenville; his two sons, Michael Roth Haworth of California and Dr. Daniel Connell Haworth of State College; his daughter, Lydia Anne Dopierala of Greenville; and his three grandchildren, Erin, Emily and Sarah.

Frederick Haworth, who passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014.Graveside services will be later at The Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect, with the Rev.
