Stickney 50th anniversary
Jim and Barbara Stickney of Cabot celebrated 50 years of marriage with a surprise dinner hosted by their family at Atria’s Restaurant in Wexford. A trip to Bar Harbor, Maine, also is planned.
Stickney married the former Barbara Lynch on Aug. 1, 1964, at St. Malachy Roman Catholic Church in Coraopolis.
They have three children, James (Roxann) Stickney of Fenelton, David (Audra) Stickney of Rochester, N.Y., and Lisa (Brian) Arledge of Camden, S.C.
They also have 13 grandchildren and are expecting their first great-grandchild.
Stickney worked as a truck driver for various companies in addition to being an owner operator. He also owned a pilot car service. He is a life member of Bantam Marine League 743 and a life member of the Owner Operators Association.
Mrs. Stickney was a school teacher early in her career and retired from Sears. The Stickneys are members of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. They enjoy traveling in their motor home.
