PUNXSUTAWNEY — Joshua Zimmerman of Mars is the 2014 recipient of the Tony and Emma Ricupero Memorial-Rustic Lodge Scholarship at Indiana (Pa.) University's Academy of Culinary Arts.
He earned high honors, a perfect attendance award and achieved dean's list for high academic performance.
He volunteered with the Salvation Army after-school program and is involved with the Mahaffey Church, A.J. Parise Foundation, St. John Lutheran Church, Punxsutawney Groundhog Little League baseball and the Ladybug Patient Care Fund.
Zimmerman, son of Viola and Charles Zimmerman, is a 2013 graduate of Mars High School.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Julie Titley of Zelienople was the recipient of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy Excellence in Pharmacy and Business Scholarship.This essay-based scholarship is awarded to student pharmacists enrolled in the joint doctor of pharmacy/master of business administration program with the WVU School of Pharmacy and WVU College of Business and Economics that have excelled academically in both programs.———

INDIANA, Pa. — Kaleigh Lowers of Freeport is the recipient of a valedictorian scholarship at Indiana (Pa.) University. She also received the Eberly Family Scholarship.She is a 2014 graduate of Freeport High School and plans to attend IUP in the fall as an undecided business major.Lowers is the daughter of Jeffrey and Tina Lowers.
