Goehring 60th anniversary

Mary Ellen and Lewis Goehring

Lewis and Mary Ellen Goehring of Penn Township celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family picnic given by their sons.

Goehring married the former Mary Ellen Foltz on July 3, 1954, at St. John’s Reformed Church in Evans City.

They have four sons, Richard of Zephyrhills, Fla., Rodger of Cranberry Township, Michael of Penn Township and Thomas of Binghamton, N.Y.

They also have nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Goehring retired from Sherwood Oaks in Cranberry Township and works part time at Penn Christian Academy in Penn Township.

Mrs. Goehring retired from the United Methodist Center in Cranberry Township.

The Goehrings are members of First Baptist Church in Butler. Goehring served on the mission board and as a trustee and usher. Mrs. Goehring served as a Sunday school teacher and greeter.
