Orsborn 50th anniversary
Robert and Carol Orsborn of Renfrew celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family trip to Walt Disney World Resorts, Wilderness Lodge, in Florida and an anniversary dinner and party at EPCOT's Coral Reef Restaurant.
Orsborn married the former Carol Ann Shannon on June 27, 1964, at White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church in Renfrew.
They have two children, Kimberly (James) Alfonsi of Livionia, Mich., and Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Orsborn of Butler.
They also have four grandchildren.
Orsborn retired from Kvaerner Engineering & Construction after 37 years. He enjoys collecting numerous items, family genealogy and operating Shannon's Apple Orchard.
Mrs. Orsborn is a homemaker and volunteers for Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels. She enjoys gardening, singing, reading, orchard work and being with family, friends and her pet cat and miniature horse.
The Orsborns are members of Meridian United Presbyterian Church where Orsborn serves as an elder and Mrs. Orsborn serves as a deacon. Both are members of the church choir. Both are also members of A Circle of Friends Choir.
