Suspect dead in shooting at Oregon school
TROUTDALE, Ore. — Authorities say a shooter is dead at a high school in the Portland area.
The Multnomah County sheriff’s office said there were reports of shots fired about 8 a.m. today at Reynolds High School in Troutdale.
Students were evacuated from the school, hands on their heads, to be reunited with their parents in a supermarket parking lot.
Police rushed to the high school following reports of gunfire.
Students inside the school were texting with their parents. A parent interviewed on TV said she had heard from her son inside the school that he was OK, but she was worried.
Police told parents to go to the parking lot to meet with their children as they evacuated the school.
