S. Rock lunch prices to rise
SLIPPERY ROCK TWP — Lunch prices in the Slippery Rock School District will go up next year.
The school board on Monday set prices for the 2014-2015 school year, with a 10-cent increase.
Lunch at the middle and high schools will be $1.90 and lunch at the elementary schools will be $1.75. Breakfast will remain at $1 at all schools.
Paul Cessar, business manager, said the increases are in accordance with rules and regulations set by the National School Lunch program.
Last year, the school board increased lunch prices by 5 cents.
