Patricia and Richard Gilliland

Richard and Patricia Gilliland of Butler and Umatilla, Fla., celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at Rachel’s Roadhouse in Butler.

Gilliland married the former Patricia Wright on May 23, 1964, at St. Conrad Catholic Church in Meridian.

They have four children, Brian Gilliland, Douglas Gilliland, Michael Gilliland and Matthew Gilliland, all of Butler.

They also have 12 grandchildren.

Gilliland retired as a foreman from AK Steel.

He is a member of White Oak Springs Church, Butler Lodge 272, F&AM, American Legion and Moose.

Mrs. Gilliland is a housewife. She is a member of St. Fidelis Catholic Church.

The Gillilands enjoy car cruising and motorcycle riding.
