Jobless Rate
Butler maintained the lowest unemployment rate in the region in March at 5.2 percent. Allegheny County was the only other regional county to have a rate below 6 percent. Mercer was the only other county to show an improvement, at 6.3 percent. Armstrong had the highest rate.
