Woman allegedly kicks police officer
PENN TWP — A township woman was arrested Sunday night after allegedly kicking a police officer in the stomach.
Shari D. Drissler, 54, was arraigned on felony assault and other charges, and placed in Butler County Prison on $25,000 bail.
Police were called to her home on Steppland Road about 7:35 p.m. for a reported domestic dispute. Milton Drissler told police that his wife was intoxicated and throwing knives at him, court documents said,
Police from Penn and Middlesex townships got to the home and found Shari Drissler on a chair. She refused to move, and officers had to force her to stand so she could be searched.
Milton Drissler told officers that his wife had been drinking all day and punched and kicked him. He said she threw kitchen knives at him and waved a knife in his face “in a menacing manner,” documents said.
She was removed from the house and placed in back of a police car. But Drissler began repeatedly kicking the front seat.
When Penn Township Patrolman Cheryl Cranmer opened the car door, Drissler spun around and kicked her twice in the abdomen, documents said,
She also allegedly tried to spit on Cranmer, who was not injured.
Drissler was arraigned on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and harassment.
A preliminary hearing will be May 7 at the office of District Judge Sue Haggerty in Saxonburg.
