Wendell L. Harvey
Wendell L. Harvey, 85, of Buffalo Township passed away Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
He was born June 30, 1928, in Buffalo Township, the son of the late Chester S. and Glenna L. (Hunter) Harvey.
Wendell was a dairy farmer in Buffalo Township, where he lived his entire life, and he was a member of Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church in Fawn Township.
He enjoyed farming and dancing and was very active in his church, where he was an elder.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Thelma E. “Dolly” (Fiscus) Harvey; his children, W. Kevin (Mary Ann) Harvey and E. Scott Harvey, both of Buffalo Township, and Nina B. (Albert) Swager of Winfield Township; his grandchildren, Taunia (John) Miles of Buffalo Township, Eric S. Harvey of Pittsburgh, and Cody L., Noah J. and Paige N. Swager of Winfield Township, and his great-grandson Camden Miles.
Also surviving are his siblings, Irene L. Hemphill, Delores (Alvin) Fredley, Carl Harvey, and Chester (Patricia) Harvey, all of Buffalo Township.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Harvey, and his sister, Joyce Graham.
Harvey— Visitation for Wendell L. Harvey, who passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave, Tarentum.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Unity United Presbyterian Church in Fawn Township, with the Rev. John Gehring Anders officiating.
