Police check for seat belt use
GROVE CITY — The borough police department is cracking down on seat belt violations.
Law enforcement checks will be done on all roads near the Grove City School District campus until March 21.
The increased enforcement, paired with educational outreach efforts, intends to increase seat belt use by teens.
Drivers and front seat passengers over 18 cited for a traffic violation will receive another ticket if they are unbuckled.
More than 125 law enforcement agencies across the state will participate in seat belt enforcement efforts this month.
