EVANS CITY — A borough man will spend 3 to 12 months in prison for sharing child pornography on the Internet.

Court records say 43-year-old Scott Leslie Hughes possessed, downloaded and shared photographs depicting children engaged in or simulating sexual acts.

Although Hughes initially faced 123 counts of distributing and possessing child porn, he pleaded guilty to one consolidated count of that crime.

He was sentenced Thursday by Butler County Judge Timothy McCune.

In addition to the prison time, Hughes must serve 2 years probation and perform 100 hours of community service.
