“Pennsylvania Parent Guide to Special Education for School Age Children” is available from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Use the search box at www.pattan.net to download this resource or call 800-360-7282 to order a copy.

Lifesteps will offer Child Check screenings from 8:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 27 at the Lifesteps Butler County Program Center, 383 New Castle Road. The free screening is for children from birth to 5 years. It evaluates a child’s development in playing, talking, seeing, hearing, moving and thinking. The visit takes about 30 minutes, and the results are discussed immediately with the parents.
