Milner 60th anniversary
Jack and Margaret “Peggy” Milner of Valencia celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Milner married the former Margaret Schiffer on Jan. 3, 1954, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Franklin.
They have one daughter, Brenda (Rob) Foster of Butler. They also have one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Milner retired in 1995 as a meat cutter. He also worked for Thoma’s Meat Market.
Milner’s passion in earlier years of his life was working and training horses. He still loves to crack a bull whip and enjoys making items with wood from nature’s many treasures.
Mrs. Milner worked for Phillips Flowers and at a training center for the handicapped.
She loves to arrange flowers, crochet, read and spend time with her family.
The Milners have been members of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Butler for 18 years.
