Cody Colella, a senior at Northwood University, was a tournament champion in informative speaking at the Fall Michigan Intercollegiate Speech League Tournament. He is from Butler.

Colella also placed fourth in persuasion and fourth in after-dinner speaking.

The Northwood University Competitive Speech team took first place out of seven teams.

Colella will compete again in January at Butler University in Indianapolis, Ind.
