Nancy L. Burns (née Knauer), 72, of Medina, Ohio, passed away Monday at the Hospice of Medina County.

She was born on June 4, 1941, in Butler to Bert and Helen (Brookhart) Knauer.

Nancy was a co-founder and vice president of BMS Burns, a nationwide supplier of parts to the plastic mold building and molding industries.

She especially enjoyed her grandchildren, people and traveling.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim, to whom she was married to for 50 years; her loving sons, JB (Leslie) and Mike (Sheri); her grandchildren, Joshua, Allie, Kelsey and Laney; her mother, Helen Knauer; her sister, Joanne Heim, and her brother, Bob Knauer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bert, and her brother, Bert.

BURNS — The family of Nancy L. Burns (née Knauer), who passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 606 E. Washington St., Medina. Father John Lee will officiate. A private family burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
