Gov. Corbett starts campaign for 2nd term
PITTSBURGH — After months of saying he would run for a second term and fundraising for the effort, Gov. Tom Corbett kicked off a multi-day, cross-state event tour today to raise his profile with a year to go until election day.
Corbett, a Republican, appeared this morning at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, his home base, with a theme of the governor who keeps his promises.
After that, he’s flying to Pittston in northeastern Pennsylvania for an afternoon rally at a construction company that specializes in pipelines.
He’ll appear Thursday morning at an American Legion Post in northeast Philadelphia and at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Montgomery County that afternoon.
In the following days, he’s scheduled to appear at campaign events in West Chester, Allentown, Doylestown, Lancaster, York, Hershey and Erie.
