KNOX — Union used some stubborn defense to produce a 16-12 football victory at Keystone Friday night.

The Golden Knights (4-5, 3-2) limited Keystone to six first downs and only 24 net yards rushing during the KSAC Small triumph.

Lane Cicciarelli connected with Shane Murphy for a 57-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter. After the Panthers tied the game, Union scored 10 unanswered points before the break.

Cody Stockdill scored on a 4-yard run and Brett Trithart caught a conversion pass from Cicciarelli. Cole Morris tackled Keystone’s Austin Chambers in the end zone for a critical safety just 12 seconds before halftime.

Cicciarelli threw for 141 yards to lead the Golden Knights.

Sharon 34, Grove City 15GROVE CITY — Carnell Hawkins had 19 carries for 243 yards and three touchdowns for the winning Tigers.Foster Reznor recorded 13 carries for 60 yards and a score for Grove City (5-4, 4-3). Jared Graham scored on a 4-yard run for the Eagles.

Clarion 55, A-C Valley 0CLARION — Mike Suto rushed for 56 yards on 15 carries, caught a pass for 27 yards and also had a team-leading seven tackles in this loss to unbeaten Clarion.A-C Valley (0-9) will host Shade High School, out of District 5, to close its season on Senior Night next Friday.
