Michael 90th birthday
Jean Hiles Michael of Chicora celebrated her 90th birthday with a surprise party given by her daughter and family at the Chicora Fire Hall.
The former Jean Hiles was born Sept. 26, 1923, and grew up in Fredricksburg, Pa. She married the late Arthur L. Michael on Aug. 16, 1947, at Fairview United Presbyterian Church in Petrolia.
She has three children, Dennis Michael of Beaver Falls, Carla Stiehler of Karns City and the late Richard Michael. She also has eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter.
Michael is a homemaker and was formerly employed by Penn Drake in Karns City. She is a lifelong member and the oldest member of Fairview United Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Treble Clef Music Club.
She enjoys mowing, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family.
