Shoemaker 50th anniversary
Robert and Lorraine Shoemaker of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a 50th wedding anniversary Mass, a family dinner at Butler Country Club and a winter western Caribbean cruise with family.
Shoemaker married the former Lorraine Ansman on Oct. 5, 1963, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Butler.
They have three children, Daniel of Mars, David of Raleigh, N.C., and Bryan of Mars.
They also have three grandchildren.
Shoemaker is a retired Seneca Valley School administrator. He is a Eucharistic lay minister at St. Paul Catholic Church, Butler Hospital volunteer and former president of the Butler County Symphony. He serves on the Indiana University of Pennsylvania alumni board.
He enjoys bridge and traveling.
Mrs. Shoemaker is a community volunteer and Eucharistic lay minister. She is a past president of the Butler Hospital Auxiliary, St. Paul Guild and Christian Mothers. She previously served on the Butler County Symphony Board.
She enjoys bridge, golf and traveling.
The Shoemakers are members of St. Paul Catholic Church.
