Atkinson 68th anniversary
Ray and Edith Atkinson of Meridian celebrated 68 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Atkinson married the former Edith Domhoff on Sept. 29, 1945, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Zelienople.
They have four children, Rose Vaughn of Slippery Rock, Darlene Blinn of Lansing, Mich., and Raymond Atkinson and David Atkinson, both of Butler.
They also have six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Atkinson retired from Spang and Company, where he worked as a cable tool sales coordinator. He was a U.S. Navy pharmacist mate medic attached to the 2nd Marine Division in World War II.
Mrs. Atkinson retired from VA Butler Healthcare, where she worked as a nursing assistant.
The Atkinsons continue to enjoy bowling.
They attend Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler Township.
