The Associated Artists of Butler County group is displaying the annual Nature and Wildlife Show through Oct. 12 at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. More than 20 artists are represented in the show. Artwork includes paintings, pastels, photographs, jewelry and 3-D pieces. Gallery hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free. Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., has canceled the netsuke program that was planned for Saturday. The Indian fall film series continues with “Bollywood Hollywood” at 6 p.m. Oct. 4, “Sometimes There Is Joy, Sometimes There Is Sorrow” at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 14, and “Paa” at 6 p.m. Nov. 14. “Treasure or Trinket?” antique appraisals will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 19. Verbal appraisals by antiques dealers will cost $5 per item with a limit of 10 items. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8. Tours are available with advance notice for no extra charge. Transit Fine Art Gallery, 206 Seneca St., Oil City, is hosting an exhibit of watercolor paintings by Kathryn Galey of Sarver during September. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free. Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., hosts The Playground Project featuring playgrounds from around the world. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with additional hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $17.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens, $11.95 for students and children ages 3 to 18, and free for children younger than 3. Admission after 4 p.m. Thursdays is discounted.
