Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., presents programs on netsuke, or miniature Japanese carvings worn with kimonos, for children and adults Sept. 28. Participants will learn the history of the netsuke and the folklore behind the carvings. Those attending will visit the Maridon's wall of more than 100 netsuke as well as make their own carvings to take home. The children's program will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 5 to 14, and the adult program from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for those age 15 and older. Cost is $5. Reservations are required, and children must be accompanied by an adult. An Indian fall film series starts with a Bollywood classic, “Worship” at 6 p.m. Monday. Museum hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children under 8, who must be accompanied by an adult.
