Amanda Sybert, a senior at Butler High School, has been selected as a member of the 2013 National Association for Music Education All-National Honor Ensembles.

Amanda will join more than 670 musically talented and skilled high school students in the United States to perform at a gala concert Oct. 30 in Nashville, Tenn.

Amanda qualified for the all-state-level honor ensemble program and competed against top students for a spot in the all-national mixed chorus. She is among 350 vocalists out of several thousand applicants selected for the chorus.

She is the daughter of Paul Sybert and Tammie Daubenspeck, both of Butler Township.

Sarah Francino of Renfrew has earned a Muskingum Academic Scholarship at Muskingum University in New Concord, Ohio.
