Floyd and Dorothy Smith

Floyd and Dorothy Smith of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage with a family dinner in Butler.

Smith married the former Dorothy Parmenter on Sept. 9, 1953, in Rapid City, S.D.

They have four children, Jay Smith, Kim Stephenson and Jody Beatty, all of Butler, and Roxanne Kriess of King George, Va.

They also have nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Smith is a retired ARMCO employee.

Mrs. Smith is a former employee of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in Boyers and John R. Ellison and Sons of Butler.The Smiths are members of the Slippery Rock Baptist Church.
