Mary Cavanaugh of Arvada, Colo., became a U.S. Air Force Cadet this month at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Cavanaugh is the daughter of Bill and Debbie Cavanaugh of Denver. Bill Cavanaugh is formerly of Butler.

Gregory Clark of Cranberry Township, who is a senior at Westminster College, was awarded the Ernest H. Volwiler Scholarship through the Phi Kappa Tau Foundation.

Clark is a mathematics major working toward a career in academia. He has a 3.903 GPA.

Clark is the Phi Kappa Tau scholarship chairman for the fraternity’s chapter at Westminster College. He is a counselor at the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards District 7280 Conference and volunteers as a tutor. He studied abroad in Paris and Budapest, Hungary.

Mindy Irvine of West Sunbury received an Upper Division Agricultural Education Scholarship from the National Association of Agricultural Educators.

She attends Penn State University.
