MSA sponsors tickets for first responders
CRANBERRY TWP — This July 4, safety equipment manufacturer MSA will be recognizing and thanking those who help keep communities safe by donating 237 Baseball, Bands and Boom tickets to first responders and their families.
The number of tickets was picked because this year the United States will celebrate 237 years of independence, according to a company news release.
Baseball, Bands and Boom, a public event, will be on July 4 at Pullman Park in Butler.
The three-part, family-friendly event will begin at 4:05 p.m., when the Butler BlueSox take on the visiting Chillicothe Paints.
Following the game, the Todd Jones Band, a country music group, will perform at the field. The evening will culminate with a Zambelli fireworks display slated for 9:30 p.m.
MSA’s ticket donations will give first responders and their families free admission for both the concert and the fireworks. Any Butler-area first responders interested in attending should inquire at their local fire hall.
Both $5 and $10 tickets for the baseball game can be bought at the Pullman Park Box Office or online at www.pullmanpark.com.
Nick Ban, Butler fire chief, expressed gratitude on behalf of his department, volunteer firefighters and other first responders.
“This is a generous gesture by MSA. All of the area’s first responders are an important part of our community, and they love to be involved,” Ban said in the release.
