Mike Jeffreys, Brendan Malone and Dan Penberthy homered for Mars during a 13-5 victory over Mars II on Friday night in Eagle County baseball action.

Jeffreys also picked up the win on the mound with eight strikeouts in five innings, doubled and singled. Malone hit a two-bagger, as well, while Penberthy singled twice. Nathan Statzer chipped in three singles for Mars.

Nick Rossmiller paced Mars II with a double and a pair of singles. Tyler Dean shouldered the loss while striking out three over three innings.

Saxonburg 9, Cranberry 6 — Brandon Wissinger drove in three runs, while Mick Fennell tripled and singled to lead Saxonburg.

Bobby Swarthout picked up a pair of singles with two RBIs for Saxonburg, which improved to 6-0 after a four-run fifth inning propelled victory.
