Jesse Savisky came out of the bullpen to quell a Center Township rally Thursday night and preserve Meridian’s 13-12 Butler County American Legion baseball victory at Pullman Park.

Center Township had scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, had the tying run at third and winning run at first when Saviski came on to get the final out.

Matt Dowdy’s three-run double in the sixth inning proved to be the winning hit for Meridian.

Robert Stamm had a triple, two singles and scored three runs while Travis Edinger had a triple, single and three RBI for Meridian.

Mike Hepler had a double, single, two RBI and three runs scored for Center Township. Kolby Kriess added two singles and two RBI, Kyle Campbell a triple and two RBI.
