Steighner 60th anniversary
Francis and Joan Steighner of Herman will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Thursday.
Steighner married the former Joan Hutchison on April 11, 1953, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.
They have four children, Darlene Donoghue of Butler, Cheryl Ackerlund of Minburn, Iowa, Francis Steighner Jr. of Margate, Fla., and Joy Loska of Howard, Ohio.
They also have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Steighner worked at Pullman for 17 years and retired as a painter.
He is a life member of the Herman Volunteer Fire Company and the Roman Catholic Men’s Club.
Mrs. Steighner retired from Magnetics in East Butler after 23 years.
She is a homemaker and also a life member of the Herman Volunteer Fire Company and its Ladies Auxiliary.
The Steighners are members of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
