3:22 p.m. Monday — A traffic stop led to the arrest of a Butler man wanted on a two-year-old felony warrant from Palm Beach, Fla.Police stopped Andrew J. Moser, 26, for driving the wrong way on one-way Broad Street between North and West Brady streets. A search of a nationwide criminal database turned up the warrant.Florida court records showed that Moser is charged with dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership. He allegedly committed the crimes on June 5, 2010. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's office was issued an arrest warrant for Moser on Jan. 28, 2011.Palm Beach County authorities have told Butler police that they plan to seek extradition proceedings to have Moser returned to Florida to face charges there.He remains in the Butler County Prison on the fugitive from justice warrant.9:58 a.m. Monday — A West Penn Power truck was vandalized at its facility on Hansen Avenue. The truck's dashboard was damaged but nothing was stolen.8:36 p.m. Thursday — An accidental fall landed a Butler woman in trouble with the law.A call for a woman screaming for help sent officers to an Amy Avenue house. Police found 48-year-old Jeanette G. Tilley seated in front of her home. She told police that she was walking to a friend's house when she tripped and fell, injuring her left ankle.While talking to Tilley, officers noticed she had a Suboxone strip. Suboxone, a prescription medication used to treat recovering heroin addicts, comes in different forms, including a dissolvable strip.Tilley admitted she did not have a prescription for the drug, the police report said.Officers searched her purse and found a hypodermic needle. Tilley is charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
8:30 p.m. Friday — Adam W. Mutz, 29, of Butler was arrested on assault and drug charges following a domestic dispute in the township. Mutz was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment and possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He is free on $2,500 bail.3:32 p.m. Friday — Cynthia Parker, 46, of Lyndora was hurt when a car struck her car at Route 68 and South Duffy Road. Parker was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with an unknown neck injury.The other driver, Karen Mallonee, 67 of Sarver, was cited for a traffic light violation.6:07 p.m. Thursday — Angela Bost, 37, of Butler was arrested after allegedly hitting a man over the head with a bottle during a domestic dispute in the 500 block of Fairground Hill Road. Bost was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and released on her own recognizance.
2:30 a.m. Saturday — A 17-year-old Rimersburg boy, who police did not identify, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck crashed into a utility pole along Lobaugh Hill Road just west of Lawsonham Road in Madison Township.
1 p.m. Monday — Ronald E. Bellas, 28, of East Brady was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs on Route 28 in O’Hara Township, Allegheny County. Police searched his car and found 48 bags of suspected heroin and a syringe.9:47 p.m. Sunday — Steven M. Hunt, 55, of Renfrew was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of marijuana after he was stopped for speeding on Route 28 at exit 12 in Harmar Township, Allegheny County.
