Knoch girls lacrosse wins big, 17-3

The Knoch girls lacrosse team opened the season with a 17-3 thrashing of Greensburg Salem on Saturday.

Mandi Boldy led the way with six goals and three assists, while Kelsie Petit tallied three goals and two assists. Sierra Kaufman netted three goals and Savannah Steffen scored twice. Kara Fitzpatrick, Kayla Smith and Emily Zilka also found the back of the net for the Knights.

Knoch returns to action on Tuesday at Yough and will host Baldwin for its home opener on Wednesday.

Boys LacrosseSeneca Valley improved to 2-0 on the season with a 12-2 win over Morgantown on Saturday afternoon. Further information was unavailable.
