Monday — Police filed drugged driving charges against Rebecca Ann Kasarda, 19, of Butler stemming from an earlier traffic stop on Whitestown Road.Investigators recently received Kasarda's toxicology report, which showed she had “numerous drugs” in her system, according to a police report.In addition to driving under the influence of drugs, she is charged with failing to keep right.11:13 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Samuel Uhler, 21, struck an embankment on Route 8 at the Route 422 west on-ramp. Police said Uhler was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1212 a.m. Saturday — Two Butler men landed in trouble with the law after police were called to a large fight in the 100 block of Vets Club Road.Charged with disorderly conduct are 20-year-old Roland Hembree III and 23-year-old Steven Fusaro-Podobensky. Additionally, Hembree is charged with underage drinking and public drunkenness.
Sunday — Two people were arrested for driving under the influence during a roving DUI patrol conducted over the St. Patrick's holiday weekend.In all 67, vehicles were stopped during the operation. In addition to the DUI arrests, officers issued 51 traffic citations and 53 warnings, and made 27 identification checks.
10 a.m. Monday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Robert T. Wright, 21, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Wright was cited for driving too fast for conditions.6:45 p.m. Sunday — Leslie A. Clark, 21, of Oil City, Venango County, was hurt when she lost control of her car and struck a ditch on I-79 in Lancaster Township. Clark, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh with minor injuries.Police said Clark was cited for driving too fast for conditions and driving without a license.1:10 a.m. Saturday — An unknown driver crashed a 1998 Ford Mustang in Slippery Rock Township, and fled the scene, leaving the car overturned. The driver apparently lost control of the car on the slush-covered road, causing the vehicle to hit several small branches and flip onto its roof.Anyone with information about the hit-and-run accident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.9 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Menelaos Liulias, 43, of Allison Park, Allegheny County, crashed and rolled down an embankment after sliding off snow-covered I-79 in Worth Township. Police cited Liulias for driving too fast for conditions.7:59 a.m. Thursday — One person was hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Slippery Rock Township. The crash happened when SUVs driven by James D. Hall, 60, of White Lake, Mich., and Gary M. Whittington, 34, of Harrisville collided at Route 8 and Branchton Road.Hall, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said he was cited for a stop sign violation.
