WINFIELD TWP — Ten fire departments needed about four hours to extinguish a fire that consumed a farm equipment shed Friday evening.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fire, which broke out at 239 Jones Road, near the Butler-Freeport Community Trail, about 6:30 p.m.

Neighbors said the property is owned by Richard Olesnevich.

Chris Ballina, chief of the Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company, said the building, which contained equipment, but no animals, was a total loss.

Fire Departments from Lyndora, South Butler, Herman, Saxonburg, Worthington, Sarver and South Buffalo, Winfield, Buffalo and Middlesex townships all responded the blaze. Departments from East Butler and Lick Hill were on standby.
