Feb. 28 — Someone broke into a business at 117 S. McKean St. and got inside an office. The unknown burglar apparently unbolted the cage of a caged window on the south side of the building and smashed out the bottom part of the window.The break-in happened between 7 p.m. Feb. 27 and 7 a.m. Feb. 28. A police report did not indicate if any property was stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-287-7743.
8:30 a.m. Wednesday — Adam T. Dovenspike, 41, of Butler lost control of his sport utility vehicle on snow and slush and struck a utility pole along Neupert Road about two-tenths of a mile southeast of Route 356 in Jefferson Township.7:14 a.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by Jesse R. Cibella, 25, of Brentwood, Allegheny County, crashed and rolled on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Cibella was cited for driving too fast for conditions.5:53 a.m. Wednesday — An SUV driven by Robert K. Steele, 26, of Butler struck a tree after skidding off snow-covered Route 8 just east of Muddy Creek Drive in Brady Township. Police said Steele was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle.
6 p.m. Wednesday — An unknown identity thief used a Springfield Township man's credit card information to make two fraudulent online transactions that totaled $360.12:20 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Brandon L. Atwell, 25, of Grove City slid into a sport utility vehicle on snow-covered Sandy Lake-Grove City Road about one-half mile south of Millbrook Road in Worth Township, Mercer County. Jessica D. Smith, 29, of Stoneboro was driving the SUV.Atwell's vehicle continued another 200 feet and struck a car driven by Benjamin L. Edney, 19, of Stoneboro. Police said Atwell was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
8:25 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Gary F. Sweesy Jr., 39, of Harrisville struck two mailboxes and a large rock along Harlansburg just east of Shotsch Lane in Scott Township, Lawrence County. Police said Sweesy was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
