Irene Steinke

Irene M. Steinke, 85, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Mars, died Monday afternoon at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

Born in West Deer Township on May 15, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Ellsworth and Irene Clager Davison.

A homemaker, Mrs. Steinke had been a member of Mars United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, P.R. Steinke, who she married Feb. 21, 1947; and two daughters, Sharen Fischer (the late Buster) of Orlando and Kathy Borland and her husband, Scott, of Mars. She was the grandmother of James Borland (Karen) and Nikole Bovee (Randy); great-grandmother of J.T., Nicholas, Rebekka, Alyssa, Colin and Caleb; and the sister of Helen Jean Dunbar and her husband, Laverne, of Butler, Shirley Ann Abt and her husband, John, of Allison Park, Ellsworth “Shorty” Davison of Saxonburg and the late James Oliver Davison. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.

STEINKE — There will be no visitation for Irene M. Steinke, who died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013. Graveside services will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.Memorials may be made to Quality E.M.S., 222 Brickyard Road, Mars, PA 16046, or to St. John Specialty Care Center, P.O.
