1:44 a.m. Sunday — Robert J. Merten, 30, of Clinton Township was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed into a traffic sign and guide wires at Hansen and South Sixth avenues.In addition to DUI, Merten faces charges of driving with a suspended license, driving without insurance, disregarding traffic lanes, accidents involving damage to unattended property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

2:07 a.m. Sunday — Three out-of-staters were cited after police were called to a reported large fight at the Days Inn parking lot on Route 8 south. Charged with disorderly conduct are Kristen Hall, 24, of Ohio; Cory Pearson, 30, of Texas; and Justin Williams, 25, of Louisiana.Grove City Police11 p.m. Friday — Drew Ries, 25, was arrested on felony assault and other charges following a domestic dispute at his home in the 300 block of State Street. A police report did not identify the alleged victimRies also is accused of scuffling with officers who tried to arrest him.Ries faces additional charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment as well as resisting arrest and aggravated assault against police.2 p.m. Friday — An unidentified vehicle struck a pickup truck parked at Advance Auto on West Main Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-458-7925.1:05 a.m. Wednesday — Timothy Hurd, 23, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Liberty Street and Kocher Drive. Police also cited Hurd for careless driving and driving with windshield obstructions.

12:45 a.m. today — A car driven by Kathleen Wise, no age given, of Kittanning struck a tree on Valley View Road in West Franklin Township.State Police, MercerMonday — A burglar stole numerous items including power tools and chain saws that were in a barn at Rose Point Camp on Old Route 422 in Slippery Rock Township Lawrence County. The break-in happened between Feb. 6 and Monday.
