Helen Mulholland Wineman
Helen Mulholland Wineman, 90, of Butler died early Saturday morning at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
She was born in New York City, on June 13, 1922, a daughter of John and Mary Ellen Stanley Mulholland.
She had lived in Butler since 2003 and had lived most of her married life in Valley Stream, N.Y., after moving from Jamaica, New York City.
Helen had been a homemaker and had worked part time for the Dry Dock Savings Bank in Rockville, N.Y., for several years. She loved golf and walking and was a member of two golf clubs in New York.
She was a former member of the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in North Valley Stream, N.Y.
She was the widow of Philip Louis Wineman. They married April 5, 1942, and he died Sept. 28, 1997. They were married more than 55 years. She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by five daughters and their spouses, Kathleen and M. Joseph Considine of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Jane and Kenneth Ilukowicz of The Villages, Fla., Nancy Wineman, Ph.D., and her husband, James Mullen, of Akron, Ohio, Helen and Dean Craig of Butler and Jennifer and John Forrester of Little Silver, N.Y.; eight grandchildren, Tracey Charters of Coppell, Texas, Sharon Butler of Holliston, Mass., Nicole Ilukowicz of Newtown Square, Pa., Kate Ilukowicz of Nashua, N.H., Lauren Craig of Allison Park and John, Philip and Owen Forrester, all of Little Silver, N.J.; and also four great-grandchildren.
WINEMAN — Friends of Helen Mulholland Wineman, who died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, were received at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, on Sunday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today at the St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Butler.
