Wednesday — Police reported that they charged a 16-year-old boy with cashing a check that was stolen from a vehicle at a home in the 400 block of McConnell Street earlier this month.The boy, who police did not identify, is charged in Mercer County juvenile court with forgery, access device fraud, and receiving stolen property.Sunday — Unknown thieves took the tops of three posts along a walkway in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue The post tops are described as round balls — each about the size of a softball — that are mounted on a 4-inch square block of wood.The property, worth a combined $25, was stolen between Friday and Sunday

Tuesday — Police reported three nail guns were stolen from a locked utility trailer during a burglary at 2240 Freeport Road in North Buffalo Township. The J. Krukar Construction Co. of Kittanning owns the stolen property.
