David Gaspersic and Robbie Reichenbaugh each netted two goals as the Freeport freshmen hockey team downed Knoch 8-1 last weekend.

Kyle Hazlett added a goal and two assists, Tanner Hill a goal and assist, Joel Bednar and Austin Carcia one each and Ryan Giori two assists, all for the Yellowjackets.

Elsewhere:

Connor Scott scored twice and Dustin Davis and Christian Miller one goal apiece to lead the Pittsburgh Huskies U16AA squad in a 4-4 tie against the Steel City Renegades on Saturday.

Miller and Nick Whann added two assists apiece while Clay Bachman made 28 saves.

The Huskies followed up with a 4-1 victory over the Armstrong Arrows on Sunday.

Nick Makozy tallied two goals with Scott and Davis adding one apiece with Davis and Jake Snyder adding two assists each and Bachman making 10 saves.

WrestlingLevi Donnel (7U, 50 pounds) and Cooper Baxter (9U, 80) each placed second for the Butler Elementary squad at the odd Age Open Tournament, which was held at Seneca Valley last weekend.Aaron Pizor (9U, 80) and Greg Schultz (11U, 125) finished in third and fourth place, respectively.
