Butler Police7:48 p.m. Sunday — James Dean Kudamik II, 31, was arrested for suspected drunken driving outside his home on Maharg Street. Police went there looking for Kudamik on a warrant on unrelated charges.Officers found Kudamik, who they believed was intoxicated, standing beside his car. He admitted he had just driven home, according to a police report.A breath test later showed his blood-alcohol level was 0.167 percent, or more than double the 0.08 percent level considered intoxicated under state law. He was charged with driving under the influence.Kudamik also was arraigned on charges of simple assault and terroristic threats, stemming from an earlier incident Sunday. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $2,500 bail, following arraignment.

Butler Twp. PoliceFriday — Police reported they are investigating the burglary of a home in the 200 block of Belmont Road. The break-in happened between Dec. 3 and Thursday. Numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen.There was no forced entry made to get in the house.Police remind residents to be alert of suspicious vehicles or people in their neighborhoods and to immediately report an unusual activity.

State Police, Butler9:40 p.m. Wednesday — A minivan driven by Robert M. Lazor, 70, of Pittsburgh crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Lazor was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

State Police, Clarion 12:27 a.m. Friday — Garrett S. Barnes, 26, of East Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Interstate 80 in Beaver Township.Dec. 25 — A thief stole an unspecified amount of money from a vehicle on Reigel School Road in Toby Township.6:29 p.m. Dec. 24 — A car driven by Jennifer S. Morgan, 24, of Lancaster, Pa., struck a culvert on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. Morgan was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Dec. 14 — A burglar stole several guns from a home on Carwick Road in Toby Township. The break-in happened between Dec. 9 and 14.
