The McConahys in 1962

David and Joyce McConahy of Saxonburg celebrated 50 years of marriage with a dinner at the Hotel Saxonburg.

McConahy married the former Joyce Conrad on Oct. 6, 1962, at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Princeton.

They have two children, Linda Grubbs of Louisville, Ohio, and David McConahy Jr. of Zelienople.

They also have six grandchildren.

McConahy is the retired president and co-founder of Saxon Research Systems.

Mrs. McConahy is a retired school board and superintendent secretary for the South Butler County School District.The McConahys are members of Jefferson Center United Presbyterian Church.
