2:57 p.m. Monday — A Jeep owned by Gary McChesney of Prosperity, Pa., was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle while parked in the lot of Kmart along Hansen Avenue.1:58 p.m. Monday — Joshua A. Frey, 25, of Butler was charged with theft by unlawful taking after he allegedly stole a smoked ham, valued at $60, from a pallet being unloaded at Miller's Meats in Butler.2:47 p.m. Saturday — A 16-year-old Butler boy and a 15-year-old Butler boy were charged with retail theft after they allegedly were caught pocketing merchandise at the Kmart on Hansen Avenue.3:03 p.m. Dec. 5 — Ryan C. Hosey, 33, of Butler was cited for accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle after the car he was driving allegedly struck a parked pickup truck belonging to Pamela Todd of Butler, while the truck was parked in front of 112 Mackey Ave., then left the scene.2:39 p.m. Dec. 1 — Joseph Reed, 34, of Butler was charged with fleeing and eluding, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and several traffic violations following a traffic stop at the intersection of Broad and Federal streets. Reed allegedly fled out the back of a residence at 406 W. North St. during a welfare check on a woman there, then initially refused to pull over for police. A passenger in the vehicle, Sean Pell, 32, of Butler was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.11:50 p.m. Nov. 18 — Gary Koval, 31, of Butler was charged with access device fraud after he allegedly stole a wallet and debit card belonging to Jacob Bowser of Butler, then spent a total of $96.01 on the card at several locations throughout the city of Butler, including A-Plus, where Koval allegedly was caught using the stolen card by a surveillance video.
5:13 p.m. Friday — A vehicle driven by William G. Hoche, 66, of Butler and a vehicle driven by Reba Doutt, 67, of Butler collided at the intersection of Belmont Road and Arch Street. Doutt suffered a minor injury.8:19 p.m. Dec. 11 — A 14-year-old juvenile from Lyndora was charged with receiving stolen property and minors possessing a firearm after he allegedly stole a handgun from a relative. Police recovered the gun.
8:51 p.m. Saturday — Police are searching for a dark-colored mid-1990s, possibly a Chevrolet, regular cab pickup truck after its driver pumped $26.13 worth of gas at a service station at 501 N. Broad St. in Grove City, then left without paying. The man was described as being in his mid-30s and weighing about 250 pounds, with a thin reddish-brown beard and wearing a camouflage hat, black hooded sweat shirt and light blue jeans, as well as dark colored boots.
6:30 a.m. Wednesday — A vehicle driven by Catherine M. Sabatino, 87, of Ellwood City crashed into a utility pole along Portersville Road in Perry Township, Lawrence County. Sabatino suffered a minor injury.
6:14 a.m. Dec. 11 — An SUV driven by Jacob M. Adams, 21, of Kittanning and a car driven by Marshall E. Coon, 42, of East Brady collided on Hindman Hill Road near Bottom Creek Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. Adams was cited for driving on roads laned for traffic.
