4:42 p.m. Oct. 22 — Debra J. Bucey, 57, of Butler was caught allegedly shoplifting 12 items worth a combined $346.88 from the Kmart store in Pullman Square. Bucey tried to make off with seven sweaters, two jackets, two pairs of jeans and a watch without paying for the merchandise, according to a police report. Police said she is charged with retail theft.

Sunday — A Smith & Wesson M&P pistol, holster and a Garmin global positioning system device were stolen from a vehicle in the Gardens Apartments parking lot in Slippery Rock. The property, worth $730, was taken between Friday and Sunday.8 p.m. Saturday — Clayton R. Lee, 35, of Slippery Rock was arrested after allegedly violating a protection from abuse order at a home in the 100 block of Church Road in West Liberty. Police said Lee was placed in the Butler County Prison following his arrest.7 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Daniel J. Mayhugh, 68, of West Mifflin, Allegheny County, struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township.6:06 p.m. Friday — A car driven by Robert J. Casassa, 57, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, struck a deer on I-79 in Muddy Creek Township.4:04 p.m. Friday — One person was hurt in a five-vehicle wreck on I-79 near Evans Road in Jackson Township.The crash happened, according to a police report, when a sport utility vehicle driven by Maryann M. Lonyo, 64, of Erie struck the back of another SUV, driven by Jennifer D. Callahan, 42, of Grove City.The collision started a chain-reaction collision that involved a third SUV driven by Kathy L. Sober, 47, of Wexford, a pickup truck driven by Joan L. Meldrum, 59, of Oil City, Venango County, and a car driven by James C. Bohnhoff, 24, of Pittsburgh.Of 10 occupants in the five vehicles, only a passenger in Sober's vehicle, Deborah A. Sinkovic, 62, of McKees Rocks, was hurt; she suffered a minor injury.Police said Lonyo was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.2:50 p.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by B.K. Collier, 52, of Hermitage, Mercer County, rear-ended a car on Bonniebrook Road just south of Collins Lane in Summit Township. Police said Collier was cited for careless driving. Kierston K. Demharter, 37, of Sarver was driving the car.9:40 a.m. Friday — Chelsea E. Jennings, 21, of Cranberry Township was hurt when the sport utility vehicle she was driving traveled through several lawns before striking a tree, mailbox, gas meter and utility pole along Route 108 just east of Conroy Lane in Slippery Rock Township.Police said Jennings, who was treated at UPMC Passavant Cranberry for minor injuries, was cited for careless driving.Friday — An unknown woman driving a white Volvo was seen taking a sign owned by the Marcellus Gas Field Service in the 1400 block of Evans City Road in Forward Township. The sign is worth $100. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — Nothing was reported stolen from a garage on Route 422 in Summit Township. A window was damaged in the attempted burglary that happened between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 4 p.m. Wednesday.Oct. 21 — A black, plastic mailbox worth $20 was stolen from a home in Zoo Road in Donegal Township. The theft happened Oct. 20 or 21.

8:20 p.m. Friday — John Miller, 46, of Clinton, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 80 at Exit 29 in Barkeyville.7:20 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Adrian R. Southworth, 38, of Emlenton struck a deer on I-80 just east of Georgetown Road in Irwin Township.
