Wednesday — Jennifer B. Johnston, 42, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on West McQuistion Road.

11:08 a.m. Wednesday — Two women were hurt in a five-vehicle accident at Evans City and Stevenson Road in Connoquenessing Township. The crash happened when a car driven by Carol S. Butler, 54, of Butler rear-ended a car driven by Paula J. Donaldson, 44, of Butler.The collision pushed Butler's car backward into another car parked in a parking lot. The crash caused a chain-reaction in which two other parked vehicles were struck.Butler and Donaldson, who were both wearing seat belts, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital with minor to moderate injuries.Police said Butler was cited for making an improper left turn.9:30 p.m. Tuesday — Glenn Schaffer, 53, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted 49-year-old Tamara Haitz during an argument at the couple's home on Saxonburg Road in Jefferson Township. Police said Schaffer is charged with simple assault.2:40 a.m. Tuesday — An unknown burglar made off with $120 in $20 bills after breaking into the Victory Cafe on Victory Road in Saxonburg. The suspect broke in through a screen window on the side of the business.1:40 a.m. Monday — Two people were hurt when their sport utility vehicle struck a deer on Interstate 80 in Barkeyville. Naquithia L. Lightning, 34, of Columbus, Ohio, the driver, and one of her four passengers, Terrance L. Chapman, 29, of Columbus, suffered minor injuries. Both were wearing seat belts. Police said Lightning was treated at Grove City Medical Center.

7:20 p.m. Oct. 2 — Tracie Lee Koelliker, no age given, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Airport and North Liberty roads in Liberty Township.
