The Hillwigs in 1962

Larry and Sharon “Sherri” Hillwig Sr. of Hilliards will celebrate 50 years of marriage with a cross country trip.

Hillwig married the former Sharon Anthony on Sept. 22, 1962, at First Presbyterian Church in East Brady.

They have three children, Larry Hillwig of Jersey City, N.J., Bryan Hillwig of Clayton, Ill., and Jill Hall of Butler.

They also have four grandchildren.

Hillwig is retired from USOPM in Boyers.

He bowled for many years on the Strikes and Spares League and is a member of the Master Gardeners.

Mrs. Hillwig is a retired paraprofessional from the Moniteau School District and a member of Girls Lunch Out.

The Hillwigs are members of First Presbyterian Church and are volunteers for the Butler County Humane Society.
