1:27 p.m. Friday — The Butler County Sheriff's office arrested Michael W. Budner Jr. at 200 W. New Castle St. on an outstanding warrant from Butler police related to a theft case. He was jailed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $2,000 bond.
Sunday — Loyal Weimer of Muddy Creek Township reported the theft of a 2-cell mini MagLite and a Queen 6-inch folding knife from his unlocked pickup while it was parked outside his residence at 120 Ridgeview Lane between 5:30 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday.6:27 p.m. Saturday — Lavonne Vantine, 43, of Butler lost control of her motorcycle and it landed on its side on Route 68 in Forward Township. She was taken by Harmony EMS to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of moderate injuries. She was listed in fair condition this morning. The driver was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Saturday — Phuoc Nguyen, 24, of Cranberry Township reported his motorcycle was left laying on its side with damaged plastic fairings while it was parked at the Cooper Street Apartments in Slippery Rock between 2 and 3 a.m.12:33 a.m. Saturday — Jacob Hurrelbrink, 27, of Parker was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Route 38 in Oakland Township.Saturday — Lee Gumpp of Summit Township reported the theft of a Husqvarna 455 chainsaw with an 18-inch bar from his shed at 112 Hays Lane between June 1 and Saturday.9:40 p.m. Friday — An SUV driven by Angela Rodgers, 40, of Rural Valley hit a deer on Route 8 in Brady Township.2:40 p.m. Friday — Melissa Lemieux, 45, of Kennerdell in Venango County was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of prescription medications after her vehicle hit a bridge construction barrier on Route 38 in Concord Township.9:25 p.m. Thursday — A tractor-trailer driven by Jose Natividad, 43, of Fort Worth, Texas, and a tractor-trailer driven by Christopher Cline, 46, of Strabane Township in Washington County sideswiped each other on Harmony Road in Connoquenessing Township. Cline received minor injuries. The Harmony Volunteer Fire Company and Harmony EMS and Lancaster Township police assisted at the scene.Friday — R.W. McDonald & Sons reported the theft of a $1,000 green plywood Jeep Fest sign from the front yard of the business at 1667 N. Main St. Ext. in Center Township between 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 p.m. Friday.Thursday — Trinity Lutheran Church in Center Township reported the theft of its wooden Jeep sign for the Jeep Fest from its lawn on Sunset Drive between 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Thursday.8 p.m. Aug. 16 — Christopher Matthews is accused of stealing a silver Dodge Ram pickup owned by MaryAnn Davis of Petrolia while it was parked at 95 Sunbury St. in Fairview. Anyone with information about the location of the suspect or the vehicle is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.
2:42 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Tammy Jo Wheeler, 43, of Creekside in Indiana County and a car driven by Margaret Daniels, 39, of Worthington collided at the intersection of Main Street and Route 1037 in Wayne Township. Daniels was taken by Kittanning EMS to ACMH Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
2:06 p.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Thomas Micco, 26, of Slippery Rock and an SUV driven by Joy Measel, 30, of New Castle collided on West State Street at the Wal-Mart parking lot entrance. Micco was cited for not stopping at a red light.
1:40 p.m. Saturday — A motorcycle driven by Nancy Smith, 58, of Fairview wrecked along Route 62 in President Township. She received moderate injuries. The driver was cited for not staying within the road's lanes.
