Rettig 65th anniversary
Floyd and Virginia Rettig of Butler will celebrate 65 years of marriage with a family dinner.
Rettig married the former Virginia Williams on Aug. 1, 1947, at St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
They have four children, Phyllis Kaltenbaugh, Leroy Rettig, Karen Blum and Dennis Rettig, all of Butler.
They also have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Rettig is a retired electrician after 18 years with V.J. Laughlin and 28 years with Fuellgraf Electric.
He enjoys playing cards and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Mrs. Rettig is a homemaker.
The Rettigs have been members of the BUCO Trailer Club for 47 years.
They are also members of a card club and St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where Mrs. Rettig is involved with Three T’s, Ladies Circle and Helping Hands groups.
